Very interesting, especially the part about aligning your bed so that your head faces East. Along those same lines, I’ve read about how important it is to have your bare feet touch the bare earth on a regular basis, something called “earthing.” It sounds like something far out there and overly “New Age” but wondered what your take on that is. I actually do go barefoot as much as I can and will walk miles on the beach in bare feet when I have the opportunity. It does seem to help me feel and sleep better.
A German monk whose name escapes me, I have in a book, was a doctor of some sort, IIRC late 19th century. He treated a lot of patients. One of his recommendations was walking barefoot on wet grass in the morning. I spent my entire childhood barefoot as soon as it was warm enough, I lived in the countryside. I go barefoot in the house. My feet are not crippled by shoes like many peoples’.
That brings up not wearing outside shoes in the house - stops filth on the floors. Carpets, another topic...
I gotta go but will be back Thursday.
