Harvard has different score requirements. Asians are required the highest.

I suppose Hogg claimed he was gay...

So in this case...it’s not his mom or dad who paid a million or five million to the college. Some middle-guy, with a 20-year agenda, is figuring a pay-off to the right entry-control members, will get the ‘kid’ into the school and he’s likely on some sports deal where professors have to go lientient on him because his grades won’t match the ‘norm’.

However, this is a private institution, and unless the Chancellor there (Catharine Drew Gilpin Faust) sees some hint that the story is going to get out....that’s about the only way that she’ll open an investigation and determine that someone got paid off.

It’s sad to see young David’s parents setting him up for social condescension and academic failure. If the SAT ranges reported in connection with the Asian students’ discrimination case are accurate, David won’t be academically alone at Harvard, but he’ll be deep in affirmative action territory. He’ll probably end up majoring in virtue signaling. It’s a bad decision by his parents. His score, while not exciting, is somewhat above average. He would be a fine candidate at a solid state university, where he could succeed academically on his own merits.

They want to make sure he gets elected to office or gets a high paying job as a govt bureaucrat. It’s a reward for being a leftist sh$$ kicker.

Hogg won the Ivy League lottery. He was at the wrong place at the right time. He was also photogenic & charismatic enough to become the mouth peace of a very-visible liberal movement. Intellectually, he is likely a midget. Even so, look for him to get straight As and run for Congress afterwards.

In short: it’s all Political.

I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.

I guess another question is why did this marginal student even apply to go to Hawvard? Who told him he had a chance? It takes effort and money to apply to a college, particularly Hawvard. Why did he apply and when it’s common knowledge that Hawvard will immediately dispose of the application of any white guy whose SATs are below 1500.

I certainly didn’t apply to Hawvard, and I doubt any of Trump’s 60 Million or so Deplorables did (at least I hope not). What, exactly, motivated him?

But we all knew that his grades and test scores were poor.

Harvard must have known that, too.

But they took him anyway.

That's their choice. It's on them.

If they're going to take somebody who is widely known to be underqualified it would be stupid if there were fraud or bribery involved.

Plus, they have an out: he has a "learning disability" but has "distinguished himself" in other ways.

I believe David Attention Hogg is part of the scandal with college admissions.

I can almost guarantee that he didn't bribe them- he threatened and bullied them. That's his M.O. He certainly didn't get in on his own merits...

Perhaps if we’re lucky the students will look at each other wondering who bought their way in versus who earned their way in and the infighting will be delicious. Hopefully they just destroy each other.

One has to ask what Hogg’s plans were prior to the Parkland shootings. Did he aspire to Harvard before the shootings or did he take advantage of the “fame” he received off of the backs of the dead students. Wonder what he would be doing now if there hadn’t been a school massacre.

Come on, he was accepted so that Harvard could make a political statement on gun control, not because of this scandal.

We Freepers look like morons when we fall for something like believing this.
