Who sold you your last batch of Thin Mints? Judging by the response to my frustrated tweet, Im not the only one buying cookies from colleagues and friends who are distinctly not girls. Weve restocked our annual supply of crispy, chocolate-coated, Girl Scout-branded disks annually for years now and I cant remember the last time either I or my husband was asked to buy a box of cookies by an actual Girl Scout.
Wherever I’ve lived, they are parked in spring outside grocery stores and Walmart. Don’t you shop?
I make it a point to NOT buy them from work. That’s the coward’s way out for the girls and doesn’t teach them anything.
Many store fronts and street corners in our small town have girls selling them. Those are the girls who earn my business.
