And all that damned giggling on his shows

Exactly, he was good to the uninformed.
And to those, he was a briefly bright light ... but who then folded and fell into the darkness.
Alas, what a waste, as so many of US are still uninformed about what has US by our short hairs.
And too many others now eagerly embrace what our parents and grandparents fought and died to keep us all free from.
