On a related note, this week will be a great week for sales on fish and seafood. Aldi’s has plenty but so do other supermarkets in my area. I’m stocking up!
Further afield, remember when frozen fish was good, and was sold in one pound rectangular pasteboard boxes? When thawed, it was like normal fish fillets. Now when you buy frozen fish, it’s all that “individual quick frozen” junk, that’s supposedly been quick frozen at sea, “to preserve its freshness” , but in fact, it’s full of water, so when it’s thawed, it’s waterlogged and pretty tasteless. We have a regional grocery store that sells a different variety of fresh, never frozen fish each week, that tastes almost like it just jumped out of the ocean.
