The "local" AM radio news' top of the hour feed ran a fear mongering story about how tax payers (not defined by state or bracket) were being suddenly surprised by "Trump and the republican's" tax reform.
No mention of how higher state county and municipal taxes that are now capped and no longer paid through deductions by the citizens of lower taxed states through federal taxes.
The story left the reasons for the surprise up to the listener's own imagination. The sad part is this was ran during Rush's show..

NY state is probably 3d behind OH and PA in sending workers to my Atlanta. It seems to be mostly Upstate Rochester, Buffalo type people; not NYC people.
These people are both working class, lower middle and middle middle ... $30,000 to 120,000 mostly. I don’t rub shoulders with the rich much; so don’t know where they move.

"...people are fleeing in droves, with 1.2 million New Yorkers leaving since 2010." I saw a migration map of the US recently. It showed that most New York transplants are going to Florida and California. By a wide margin.
