They are still fully accepted in the court of public opinion.
Actually - good point. Hadn’t thought of that. Thank you for a little positive spin.
As long as everyone knows it’s a work of art, I’m fine with it.
It has also been my experience that Christian men who are getting regular physical affection from their wives, have nearly ZERO incentive to view porn.
I think the point he was trying to make is that the tech is out there now which can superimpose YOUR face on someone else’s body and it looks absolutely real. Deep Fakes are something to be wary of in the future. It’s going to be damned hard to tell the difference form something real and something faked. Think RBG... if they can deep fake her, they can literally keep her alive way past her actual death. The jig would only be up if it were demanded she show up in person for proof of life.
Being able to superimpose someone’s head on another body or change their words is scary indeed.
Wow...go through that and keep refreshing...look for ones where they try to do 2 people. One of them is always hideously misshapen!
Think about it from a political perspective. All of a sudden conservatives are “showing up” at kkk events, neo-Nazi rallies, etc.
There you go.
I remember the days when a standard axiom was, “The camera doesn’t lie.”
Simple: it embodies everything that is wrong with the media, "news reporting" and popular culture which seeks to destroy white males, white "privilege" and western culture through "gentrification" and destroying any concept of morality in favor of complete, total depravity.
The awareness that a video showing a crime may not reflect reality is important.
Do you doubt for one millisecond that the left would use this against a Kavanaugh or a Trump?
If you didn’t know a video can be perfectly faked, that might sway or eliminate your vote.
Eventually the courts will have to rule if simulated child porn (using the face of a child) is in fact child pornography or protected speech. The courts will also have to rule if a person’s face and likeness is their own intellectual property or if it is open to fair use.
Or is perfect porn that uses a generated faces and bodies that never existed in real life still a legal problem?
We already have thousands of children whose images are in databases in child pornography cases who cannot be identified. Most are probably dead or sold to international sex traders. What will happen when fake images become the norm? Could people be set up for fake crimes? Will DAs now be able to prosecute people when there is no evidence that the victim is even a real person?
Pulitzer stopped giving awards to digital photos because of composites and heavy software manipulation.
It was immediately pulled. I mean within seconds of being posted.
I briefly considered pleading my case but I let it go.
A couple hours later someone posted the same article again and it remained up every time I checked.
I guess it depends on the moderator or if someone hits ABUSE.
I consider DeepFakes a legitimate topic even if it involves porn because of the implications.
The Obamunist FIB and CYA are probably worked on a ‘rumored’ Russian peepee video to drop as an October Surprise in 2020.
Dan Ratherbiased can present it to the American voters as he tried in 2004.
