If only the butterflies had wings and could fly over the wall... :(
The ruling:

Walls do not keep flutterbys out.
There is no federal act which actually effects the butterfly at all.
How did it even get to trial. A preliminary motion should have vacated the Complaint.
As some other poster said in effect: build the wall/fence up to each side (east/west) of the “sanctuary” and put up signs saying in Spanish, “Enter Here”. Watch the “sanctuary disappear ...
Since butterflies have been reported at heights of over 1,000 feet, I believe that a 30 foot fence should not be much of a challenge for them.
Winning! More please.
JoMa
But the Butterfly Sanctuary is one of the prohibited areas in the legislation to be signed today so unless a national emergency can override the legislation, the Sanctuary will have no wall.
How sad they are so adamant about exploiting the butterflies that they opposes cutting their exploitable area in half....
How odd a Judge gave a sane ruling.
Where’s Alice? I may join her at the tea party....
“”On the same day the president announces he will declare a state of emergency, the federal judge throws out our case. We are not going away that easily!”, the butterfly center said in a tweet. “
Sounds like it was written for a Monte Python skit. Next up the “Killer Bees” from SNL.
Spool up the bulldozers!
I cant imagine that a wall is worse for the butterflies than having thousands of migrants tramping through, damaging the habitat and leaving trash all over the place.

Typical leftist. Use the legal levers to try and get what they want. When that doesnt work, proceed anyway. Rule of law is just a cover for them. They do whatever they want.
Also, is this the onion farm some activists bought a dozen or so years ago on the border? It's not like it is an old growth butterfly forest.
How crazy are we? Can’t have a protected border because of butterflies? What is going to be the tipping point on political insanity?
It’s a scientific fact that the butterflies always tap dance that part of their migration.
/just making crap up
:)
I have a 6 foot stockade fence around my dog yard.
Butterflies seem to want to be in my yard versus the that of the unfenced neighbor yard.
Therefore, empiric evidence suggests that butterflies like walls.
They feel safe.
