Good. However, and not to her credit, nuclear energy is dangerous.

I’ve recently retired from the industry (25 years) as a 1099 contractor. - please elaborate

Solar energy is nuclear... nuclear energy is what makes the day go round. Nuclear is clearly sustainable. The sun has been providing us with over abundant energy since way before us. The sun PROVES that nuclear can be done in an absolutely safe and effective manner... when the Engineer gets it right. All we need to do is scale it back a tad. “Nuclear is dangerous” my arse!

I’m told that thorium reactors are intrinsically much safer that uranium reactors, they can’t run away, they produce far fewer waste products, and cannot make plutonium.

Is this accurate?

I’d love to get your take on the Thorium reactors they’ve been recently promoting. Good? Bad? Untested? I’ve done quite a bit of research on it as a “consumer” but would love to get an “insider’s” take on it. Good? Bad? Untested? Thanks.

Creating a toxic waste byproduct that is so toxic that you have to build a 10,000 year waste storage plan and facility could be considered dangerous.

You get the energy and a hundred generations of people get the responsibility to clean up after you...
