I had gone outdoors for some reason and when I came back in the house, I could hear someone yelling in the hearing and I wondered who on earth it was - stepped into the living room and saw it was Collins from GA... Yay GA - Yay Collins!!
Nadler sat there like the bump on the log he is. I don’t think that man even knew where he was today. Did you notice the aide who had to keep leaning over his shoulder pointing stuff out for him...put the old dog out to pasture, for crying out loud! Did you hear Collins later when Sheila Jackson Lee was doing her mumbo-jumbo - “were you here when Holder was?” or something to that effect - maybe it was - “Where were you when Holder was here?”
I wish Whitaker hadn’t appeared - I wish he’d made them subpoena him and he could have done the same thing that Holder did - ignore the subpoena. No one blinked at his behavior!
You would have thought that Whitaker was there to be confirmed for some cabinet position and not just filling in until Barr is confirmed. THAT WILL BE A REAL DOG AND PONY SHOW! I’ve had a hard time figuring out just why they needed to question him. He’s only been at the DOJ since November if I recall. If they want to know what Mueller is doing or thinking - subpoena Mueller.

I was watching and loved it when Collins came unglued. He did just as well as Graham did at the Kavanaugh hearing. It looks like Trump has caused at least a couple of Republicans to grow a backbone.
Whitaker made a good showing, by the time Jackson was through the Democrats were realizing they had a problem, he wasn’t going to run away squealing with his tail between his legs...
I think it was Collins who kept arguing with Nadler the whole time, and he was usually right. This was nothing more than the confirmation hearing Democrats were angry that Whitaker never got. But he scored way more points than they did...
