I believe this event will have a massive impact on the dialogue of abortion in this country. Liberals let the cat out of the bag. There were a lot of Americans, and I was one of them, who were either ambivalent on the issue of abortion or lukewarm supporters/opponents and who are now absolutely disgusted by the mad embrace towards what can be described as nothing less than infanticide.

At my workplace we rarely discuss politics and NEVER discuss the politics of abortion and the news in Virginia was the first subject mentioned. It was brought up by a 20-something female who was absolutely horrified. She just needed to talk about it and vent.

Under New York's bill, any healthcare professional can perform an abortion. The irony is that one of the arguments made in Roe v Wade was that this would eliminate back alley abortionists. As it turns out, even pro-abortion doctors and nurses are grossed out by killing nearly-born babies. There’s also the matter of medical malpractice insurance -- no way any insurer wants to be guaranteeing the work of the next Kermit Gosnell. New York’s law also allows just about any health care professional, not just an MD, to do abortions. Legalizing abortion at any stage, opened the door to what we are witnessing today.
