I never skin dived (well once sort of in Jamaica) i remember being on Marathon Key on new years day 1990 and me and my two buds had like 50 bucks between us to eat and get home and they decided to go frigging skin diving...i was like WTF?
Anyways i parked the car under a bridge and read a Stephen King book while they blew the last money we had to get home back to Boston skin diving, snorkeling whatever.
Thank god for a sister in Miami to bail us out!
What a CRAZY!! trip that was...i could go on and on with the stories...
Skin diving and spearfishing get into your blood. I once spent most of a summer and EVERY SINGLE day that same August spearfishing in the kelp beds off Zuma Beach, CA. Those kelp beds were chock full of fish. Yummie!!! I sacrificed all my other activities at the time to go spearfishing. And I would do the same thing again!
