Kids that grow up to write blogs ought to be considered mentally disabled.

Another hole in the Treasury. Bankruptcy is more likely to follow when you run out of other people's money.

New York is doing it big time over here.

Voted in the poll and Tweeted the article, too. Personally, I like blogs.

Worse than the financial harm to productive workers is the moral damage to those on welfare. Removing their incentive to be productive is a supremely evil act - what is the point of a life that does not contribute? Socialists are responsible for that evil.

“Removing their incentive to be productive is a supremely evil act”

It’s not just the government that does this. In today’s society parents are likely to have created more permanent welfare cases than the gov. By this I mean not expecting a kid to do anything and when reaching adult hood allowing them to stay home and leach off of mommy & daddy into their 30’s and beyond.

I personally know of 3 cases. Here’s an example: The man was our neighbor close to 50. He never worked as mom let him stay at home and provided. She lost her farm and thus lost her income. This guy is an alcoholic with no job skills.

We are at this moment creating a new class of entitlements just as people are realizing entitlements are a corollary of Murphy’s Law. “What can’t happen won’t.” They are serious with this “Universal Income” propaganda and we will sooon have a new class of leech of “professional consumers”. Welcome to the Brave New World.

And the Danes are known for being hard working. This proves that the social welfare system turns some people into lazy indolent slobs.

I’ve watched a number of German reality shows which touch on welfare/social decline. You can generally see three key factors for ‘losers’ on permanent unemployment/social welfare:

1. No real skill or craft. They flanked out of an apprentice program, and there’s nothing to market themselves at age 25 to 50.
2. No real skills at handling money.
3. Most have adapted to marijuana or alcohol-related issues.

What amazes me is that these migrant folks who arrive and get job-training and skill-crafts....are showing enthusiasm for it...while the loser folks on social welfare have zero interest in recovering their lives.

Not just Denmark. I owned apartments all were section 8 inspected. Had a tenant, single woman no kids. Claimed handicap but seemed to have to problem walking all over town, acting in olays, and bowling. Her rent was paid by some agency, she got about 400 a month in food stamps and 750 a month in cash assistance. A free phone, and a free car. Had every electronic device one could ask for. And more disposable cash than I had.

The 36-year-old single mother, given the pseudonym “Carina” in the news media, had more money to spend than many of the country’s full-time workers.

Yep. The Left likes to portray their battles as the "rich" against the "poor" but in reality, its a battle against the lazy who vote Dem versus the productive.

“Mr. Nielsen, called “Lazy Robert” by the news media, seems to be enjoying the attention. He says that he is greeted warmly on the street all the time. “Luckily, I am born and live in Denmark, where the government is willing to support my life,” he said.”

Lol.Lazy Robert should consider moving to the US and running as Lazy Bernie Sanders Vice Presidential candidate on the Lazy Party (Democrat) ticket

The welfare office secretary here quit after she realized the clients were getting more than she was working 40/hr a week.

My .02, welfare should only be given for six months twice during a person’s adult lifetime. After that, they’re on their own.

I had never heard that. for some reason I've always seen the Danes as pot headed perverts. (or is that the Netherlands? Could be both I guess)

Hard-working Danes is a fallacy, a MSM put on.

They put their time in: 37 to 40 fours/week, 20+ holiday days off plus vacation plus two weeks of ‘stress leave’, many mornings hung over (they drink often, and drink to get drunk), much of their work hours spent planning their next holiday.

Were our workers to compete with theirs straight up, it’d be no contest. We would exhaust them.
