I remember listening to the Sonics when Bob Rule was averaging nearly 30 Ppg. Basketball WAS a sport you could enjoy on the radio, and television.
Now it is a show, music blaring, really the only rules are time and foul based. It is what soccer would look like if the guys could carry the ball under their arms then drop it down to kick near the goal. The palming of the ball and traveling have ruined it. Rookies are called for these things, veterans no so much. It is like politics. The rules ALL DEPEND of something other than reality. You get ONE step and a half. You do not get 3-4 steps. I saw a player for Minnesota yesterday against OKC take 4 steps and slid his back foot get called for an offensive foul, but not traveling yesterday...
I know, hypocrite, but I only tuned in for a couple of minutes. It hasn’t improved.
The only good thing about the NBA is Luka Doncic.
