Pelosi becomes president. Then who does she select for VP?
She won’t run in 2020, but her VP would be positioned for it.
Her pick has to get past the Senate, so she won’t choose Beto. Maybe Chuck Schumer. But more interesting, maybe Mitt Romney. As a liberal republican he could be thought capable of ‘uniting’ both parties.
Was that the reason for his anti-Trump diatribe? To establish his credentials?

Wait a minute here. If Trump is impeached, Pence becomes President. The third in line clause is if both should be killed at the same day. Impeachment does not include Pense. This is not a twofer

More likely Adam Schiff. He was one who got off the bus when the flight was cancelled. I think she had her future core staff with her until whatever was going to occur in the U.S. during their absence was over.
