This probably means Nancy will allow articles of impeachment to come to the floor. The Democrats might just have enough votes this time.

I’m pretty confident Trump will be impeached before Ginsburg dies or retires for the SCOTUS. Schumer will than argue Trump can’t pick Ginsburg’s replacement until after the impeachment trial.

Schumer can argue all he wants. Even in the unlikely event that impeachment got as far as the Senate, he has no legal authority to prevent a President from carrying out his Constitutional duties, absent actual conviction and removal from office.

Impeachment is off table for a bit now. Would just look like sour grapes. Will have to try next year or after Pelosi is replaced.
