Can I just throw this out there? I just purchases a Ruger SR 22. I just realized the slide release won’t release the slide until you pull back on the slide as you push down the release lever. It will if you push very hard. This sucks! On my Mark III and SDe slams just push the slide release and the slide slams forward stripping a round out of the mag and clambering it. Nothing in the instructions state this. I called customer service and they told me you must pull the slide back as you push the slide release. Is there an aftermarket correction this issue?

That’s crazy. I’m not aware of any aftermarket correction on the SR 22 but there should be. Rugers are one of my favorite firearms...I have a Ruger Mark II 77 in 270 that is the most accurate rifle I’ve ever owned. My Ruger Mini 14 Ranch is superb. The Ruger 10/22 is one of the finest rifles out there...had mine for over 20 years. I bought the Ruger LCP for concealed carry a few years ago though and have jam problems with that one. You have to keep it extremely clean to avoid a jam.
