1/08/2019 -- Japan M6.3 Earthquake -- Direct EQ forecast location hit -- Seismic unrest spreading

Eight >50K foot high volcanic eruptions in the last week and a half.

I have only been watching him for a few weeks but this seems newsworthy.

No one else seems to be covering it.

Classic image. Particularly the color. For the first few years of the 70's it seemed like all Japanese imports were that color. The paint would chalk in about 3 years, and the cars rusted rapidly. They started out very bad, but they worked their way up the learning curve rapidly.

Here is a link to the volcanic ash advisor site Dutchsinse uses.

I am no expert on this whatsoever but maybe someone here at FR can make some sense of it.

Maybe nothing but it could be something Trump is going to bring up in tonight's address ;)

Dunno. After driving that piece of garbage, maybe Godzilla hated the cramped quarters or the lousy performance.

He may never have forgiven Japan. And after driving that thing so long ago, I might agree (except my other Japanese cars more than made up for it, LOL).

[ When Eyjafjallajökull blew in 2010 it seemed to be a pretty big deal. ]

Well of course. I imagine several keyboards were destroyed in the immediate aftermath.

Yeah, the paint wasn’t faded at the time. I remember looking at the driver’s door while waiting for the guy. I seem to recall it looked like an inch thick - it was probably 2 inches or less - outer shell, window and inner shell.

It had all the acceleration of my sister’s (eventually-owned) light puke purple Gremlin (why couldn’t she have bought one with a 401?).

I passed somebody in that Gremlin once. That was pretty dang scary. It must have been a 4-cylinder or something (dunno).

>>They started out very bad, but they worked their way up the learning curve rapidly.

I had an ‘81 Honda Accord that had the best paint job on any car we owned until I a bought an Audi in 2000. In between there was a Ford, a Chrysler, a Potiac, and an Olds, if memory serves. That Accord was really a great little sedan.

I think it means eight eruptions which produced ash clouds more than 50000 feet high.

There are theories that “solar minimums” (which we’re in right now) lead, via greater cosmic ray incidence, to more eruptions and earthquakes.

I watched the whole thing, Dutch has an interesting sense of humor,

he seems to be rather level headed about oil and gas fracking and geothermal but

realistically points out the coincidence of seismic activity near the drill points in California.

He seems to be implying that the government and/or the oil and gas industry has been intentionally slipping the San Andres fault for a very long time.

Can you elaborate on the steam plume he was talking about?

Back when I was living in Ca I was not far from there. In 2011 I was renting a work yard to PG&E for a 100 mile refit on one of their natural gas lines. When they wrapped up the project they had to hydraulic static test the line with water from end to end all 100 miles of it at one time.

That plum was when they released all that water from the line with air pressure behind it. Because of the size of the release valve it did indeed take about three days to blow it completely clear of water. They invited me down to watch it but I had seen them do it before when I was younger. It is kind of impressive to see.

So he was right... It was steam and moisture, but it was not geothermal. lol

But I think at that time our country was still on fairly high terror alert. So I think that is why they tried to suppress it. Not sure we wanted to advertise exactly where our main natural gas pipeline monitoring stations are at. That one supplies just about all of Ca. :)

Wow.

More evidence that FReepers are the most interesting people on the interwebs.

I hope you don’t mind me posting your reply on Dutchsince youtube chat, with proper accreditation of course.

[Never really thought of Godzilla as a planner before]

Think about the size of the day planner he has to carry.

This could be possible.

7:00 a.m. Wake up

7:05 a.m. Shower - or just bathe in the Pacific

7:15 a.m. Breakfast - 2 egg whites, 2 strips bacon, 2 pieces toast (whole wheat) - or whatever the Denny’s special is that day - coffee black no sugar - cream on weekends

8:00 a.m. Destroy

9:00 a.m. Destroy

10:00 a.m. Destroy

11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Lunch with Nancy Pelosi at tuna packing plant

2:00 p.m. Jerry Springer reruns or Maury Povich reruns

3:00 p.m. Destroy

4:00 p.m. Meet with flaming turtle about destroying tomorrow.

5:00 p.m. Learn about destroying from professional destroyer Rachel Maddow.

6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Workout

11:00 p.m. Seinfeld

12:00 p.m. Bed-time

That’s just a guess, though....
