Macron is simply evidence of how unserious the French voters are. He is more of the same Leftism wrapped in a new PR campaign. And he was in way over his head. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. But when they kick him out, they’ll put some other Socialist fool into office, or a “conservative” who can’t or won’t want to do what it takes to get France out of the mess its in.

He’s not socialist enough for France. People hate him for many reasons. It’s not all about the carbon tax. He’s been trying to reform the medieval labor laws, 30 hr work week, pensions, etc. Unions hate him.

Very true. In economic issues he could pass for a republican. He abolished the “fortune tax” to try to keep those that actually produce and create jobs from escaping, and reforming the labor laws and pensions.
On immigration, globalism, climate policy, nationalism he’s as lefty as they come.
And he’s an arrogant elite mama’s boy who has the charisma of camembert cheese. His base is nonexistent with poll numbers around 20%.
