the problem is that he’s now a ‘felon’ in the eyes of the law- and felons can’t own guns at all- it won’t be long before police are issued a search warrant and will confiscate his gun and label him a felon once they find the gun- this is how the left are violating our constitutional right to own guns- by making law abiding gun owners into felons who can never own a gun again-
Police who enforce such laws will receive no sympathy from me if their actions result in misfortune.

No he isn’t. Cities do not have felony statutes. That would need to be a state law.
