It is confusing why anyone would paint obvious targets on their children’s backs. If it was him and him alone affected and he wanted the publicity negative or positive then I would agree in go for it. With his public statement he had to expect that the kids would get the blowback, especially in ‘California east’ of Colorado. That’s the commie way, take after and destroy what is dear, in this case the kids.
