Many of the local councils as far as I'm aware arent even that fond of them. Sure there's an economic impact to be had but the communes have handled their situation so far really damn well.

Have you seen the pictures of the oil pits they have in that region. Very ecologically disturbing. No refineries around they boil the crude to make fuel.

I still can't fathom how they could be that stupid... YPG would only have to change into NDF uniforms and have some Arab commanders put in charge.
If they provided any serious resistance to the Turks I would understand their actions.
