McCabe, by his own account, urged Flynn to talk to the agents alone, without a lawyer present.

So the good guy Flynn is prosecuted, convicted and financially ruined whilst the bad guy McCabe isn't prosecute and will collect a public pension.

So much for “Trust.” I wonder what the verdict would have been had he refused to a plea deal? I wonder if he can ask a judge to overturn his plea deal based on the corrertion and not have either advice of counsel or free will to the plea agreement.

Lesson. Always ask for an attorney and say nothing until they arrive, even if it means going into a holding cell or being booked.
