If your job went to Mexico, you aren't going to like a guy who pretends to be Mexican.
And if you are Mexican-American you may not love the guy who appropriates your heritage.
What apparently worked in El Paso may be play in the country as a whole.
Voters may get behind a White guy -- or a minority or woman candidate -- but somebody who's one thing but pretending to be another is going to confuse them.
But look - if the three other leading contenders are in their seventies - young folks will go with the guy who looks young.
The “cultural appropriation” thing is probably going to hurt him.
