I never meant to imply GHWB was an angel. I think as ex-cia director he was the ring leader of the Iran/Contra operation and Reagan didn’t keep up with all that was going on till the crap hit the fan. But he flew in WWII and was shot down over Chi Chi Jima and a U S sub saved his azz. Money ain’t shitz in a life raft. Iran/Contra was a way around a left wing crap Congress. GHW Bush’s grandfather, Prescott Bush Sr, was trading with Nazi Germany up to 1942 when the Company’s assets were seized under the Trading With the Enemy Act. Prescott Bush was under review by a former US Nazi war crimes prosecutor to argue that the late senator’s action should have been grounds for prosecution for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
