The thing is...especially with the diesel tax ‘bump-up’ (29 cents per gallon)....with 70-percent of French people owning a diesel car...it’s an outrageous tax. Cops, firefighters, regular people....they are all affected. Why would you stand and oppose the riot?

I don’t see the tax surviving. If Macron continues on and talks about meeting people face-to-face....he has no desire to delete the tax. The riots will continue through spring and possibly affect the EU election in June 2019, my prediction.
