Jim has ALWAYS KEPT AN EXCELLANT BALANCE OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND APPROPRIATE SPEECH!

THE reference to a Politbureau was for you. For freeprs who want to demand how, when and what freeprs should post!
Looks like we don’t need demands on how and when or what I should post....Jim determines that..yes. so own up to your post and not try to twist mine around with lectures on property and the public square.

The entire point of my first post was that FReepers should not act like the DUmmies whom we regularly (and rightfully) condemn for their atrocious behavior. What is traditional in Western societies is to back off from personal criticism of a person who has just died, for a decent interval of time, because we are all human despite our differences and this is necessary for the family of the deceased.

But if you are both beyond constructive criticism and desirous of being like the DUmmies and other decency-destroying Leftists, then go right on doing what you’re doing.

FYI, just above this post (and more than 24 hours after his death) I condemned Bush the Elder, because his choices made him and his legacy deserving of it. I came to despise him, after having been fooled into believing that he had learned from Reagan. I’m of mixed emotions about him losing in 1992, because that loss gave us the Clintons, but he surely deserved to lose. I don’t care much for the politics of his offspring, either. But NONE of my feelings dismiss or invalidate the idea of a decent interval or simple decency.
