Illegals have been coached well——having a minor will get them apprehended by Border Patrol and released into the
interior of the United States.....free and clear and ready to ride the gravy train.
REALITY CHECK This is in the Clinton-era Flores Settlement decree and has created a massive loophole allowing C/A family units to illegally cross the border and enter the US after a short detention.
This loophole is well-known among economic illegals......
(A) he law is a magnet for family units, and,
(B) lets smugglers use children to gain access to the US by posing a family unit.
One common fraud is illegals claiming children they do not have (borrowing other’s kids even) to increase their EITC checks.
And a few hundred have been busted claiming that they are children when they are actually over 18 years of age.
