White House officials are planning to suspend CNN reporter Jim Acostas press pass again, after a judge ordered them to temporarily restore it Friday, CNN has reported.
Officials sent a letter to Acosta with a view to revoking his newly regained privileges at the end of the month, the network stated.
CNN issued a statement Sunday claiming officials were [violating] the First and 5th Amendments of the Constitution. These actions threaten all journalists and news organizations, the statement continued. Jim Acosta and CNN will continue to report the news about the White House and the President.
Officials revoked Acostas press pass November 7 after a press conference with President Donald Trump. During a heated exchange between the pair, a White House intern attempted to take the microphone from Acostas hand. The reporterCNN's chief White House correspondentkept hold of the microphone and tried to finish asking a question, saying, Pardon me, maam, to the intern.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders later shared what appeared to be doctored footage of the interaction, sped up to make Acostas reaction to the woman look like an attempt to restrain her arm....

“The “hard pass” is a PRIVILEGE, not a commodity that may be bought, sold, or leased out in any way, shape, form or manner, and therefore fails to meet the definition of “property”.”
I would also imagine the pass was not “his”, but rather property of the WH. As a sub, I had to turn in badges when the project was finished.
“The simplest answer would be for the President and/or Press Secretary to just never acknowledge Acosta as a questioner. Never let him have access to a microphone. Let tjhe uncomfortable silences begin.....”
Actually the simplest answer is for the President to call on Acosta first, see if he learned anything from all of this. If he has, decorum would have fixed itself. If not, in front of the world Acosta would have demonstrated that CNN does not deserve to be in that room.
They should totally freeze out all CNN reporters. Make CNN suffer. Freeze out CNN until CNN decides that Accosta can no longer go to the White House.

Im thinking they should go the opposite direction. Acosta wants to make it all about him, then make it all about him. Let him ask the first “question”, which with Acosta is actually an editorial diatribe. Let him ramble on as long as he wants. Let him ask as many “questions” as he wishes. Ask him if he’s finished. When he’s done, if ever, shut down the news conference. Rinse and repeat.
Thanks. Another article suggested that the latest letter to Acosta is to establish a paper trail so that due process can be satisfied.
Acosta and Ryan will just stand up and start yelling questions out at the WH during press conferences anyway. That’s just unacceptable.
They should offer CNN the pass for another reporter and make it clear that CNN is not banned, only the person.
Then the Ninth Circus will require the President to call on him first and answer at least four questions.
How about pulling all of the hard press passes. As I understand it they don't have to sign in every morning or be escorted. Make them do those now. Every time they come in they'll have to be carded, given a day pass and escorted. Just imaging the dirty looks they'll give to Acosta after a couple of weeks of having to ask an intern to walk them to the restroom.
What a drama queen!!!
“What proof is there of this?”
I saw it real time and was surprised the Secret Service did not eject him immediately. Acosta drew back the microphone and pushed her away simultaneously. The video was not doctored.
Comparing Jim Accosta’s “speech” to the 1st amendment is like comparing a rioter to the first amendment.
These actions only actually threaten loud mouth activists posing as reporters.
They at least need the ability to turn off the mic.
I would cancel press conferences and remove all press from te Whitehouse until the Whitehouse Correspondents Association comes up with a code of conduct that the administration can agree to.
Make them police themselves and if they dont cut them all off.
Simple
Publish a rule that shouting out questions is rude and a break in decorum. Breaking the rule means pulling WH badge.
Never call on Acosta again.
I’m willing to suspend constitutional rights for CNN and Jim Acosta.
The media hate for Trump is what violates every principle for fair dealings, revoke it for life.
I hate rudeness in a man, I wont tolerate it.
Woodrow F Call, Lonesome Dove
CNN will never report anything in a good light when it comes to Trump.
So there is no down side to cutting them off.
Poor Jimmy....grab a few tissues, kkthx.
