An especially chilly winter and steadily falling temperatures over the next few years might finally spark a revolution in modular thorium reactors and vertical farms, which depend on reliable, affordable energy. Widespread decentralization of energy can only be good for national survival, no matter what happens with the looming debt disaster from uncontrolled state and federal spending and borrowing.

Please note that in the 11 year solar cycle we are equivalent to 2007. Note also that we are 40 sun spot free days ahead of 2007 with 6 weeks left to go (and the current sunspot is almost insignificantly small.)

Then look at the next two years in the cycle (2008, 2009).

It is likely to be very cold for at least a couple years if the trend continues.

Of course the liberals will stuff their fingers in their ears, and stick their heads up their a$$e$ in order to avoid recognizing this.
