If so where is my pass? I think this is the approach the WH should use. Everyone - that is Everyone - who shows up and claims to represent any source of public information (one chit per organization), from the NYT to some blogger in his basement, should be treated equally. All the names go in a hat, and the first 50 drawn (or however many seats there are in the press room) get to go in. In addition to keeping the self-important, self-aggrandizing jerks out (at least statistically), that would make that point that they and their organizations are no more important to the "free press" than the high-school student writing for a local shopper flyer. Which is certainly true - if not more than true. I'd trust the local shopper rag or some semi-anonymous blogger more than the Democrat media. Yeah, here is MINE? I will represent Free Republic. Or some FR person close to D.C. can represent Free Republic and get their W.H.Press Card. right. Sounds good to me!

Works for me. If Jim Robinson would accept you, Freerepublic is exactly the sort of public information organization I think *should* be represented, particularly in place of the Democrat media.
