Take a prior election with a lily-white candidate, a lifetime LEFTist of great provenance, Harvard Grad and tort lawyer, Rep. Alan Grayson of Orlando. He won 3 terms in Congress and was a highly active member of the Progressive Caucus there in those 6 years.

Let’s see...what do Andrew Gillum and Stacey Abrams have in common besides their skin color and party affiliation? Hmmm...let me think...what could it possibly be besides those two things that would keep people of any color from voting for them? I just can’t think of anything. This baffles me.

So John James got 46% of the vote in Michigan even after being outspent 2:1. And none of the folks voting for him had the lighter shade of melanin in their skin?

You know, when Great Britain elected Maggie Thatcher to be the first female P.M., she had long since proven that she did not live down to the stereotypes about women lacking the ability to lead, she campaigned the same way, and she operated in office the same way. She EARNED the right to lead, and to not have those stereotypes held against her.
Now compare and contrast to the vast, vast majority of black candidates and elected officials - they are at the least quite liberal, and at worst are angry, white-hating and anti-American. They are living DOWN to the stereotype. Add to that how Obama performed in office, when trusted (despite the stereotypes and the evidence of who he REALLY was, even before the 2008 election) to be the most powerful person in the world. To say the least, such people do NOT help the cause of getting their fellow blacks elected where a significant number of whites are required to push them across the finish line.
