Why are pre-filled out “absentee” ballots being accepted at polling stations at all? This should be against the law! The whole point of an absentee ballot is that you sign it and send it in. If you’re PHYSICALLY AT THE POLLING STATION you need to sign to get your ballot right there.
I don’t know. I mail my in, the postage is free. In fact, Maricopa County has an online app that a voter can check that will verify they received it and it was counted. I did that myself this year.
I can’t believe 475,000 people with mail in ballots walked them to a poll. That would have been around half the total who voted in Maricopa County.
There’s a lot of misinformation out there and officials aren’t making it very clear.
They are NOT "absentee" ballots. They are early voting ballots that you have to register for to receive. If you don't mail them in by a certain date you have the option of dropping them into sealed ballot boxes at any polling place on election day. That's what I had to do with our ballots because we didn't receive our ballots in the mail until after my husband left the state until past election day. I had to bring his ballot to him for him to sign and I dropped it with mine at our local polling place, which BTW, was not busy.
