All true. But, a lot of these folks moved to Florida fleeing the high taxes in the Northeast. Gillum wants to increase Florida taxes by $2.6 billion among other things. Not sure all of the Dem votes in FL are going to Gillum. Plus, the Repubs have a 53,000 vote lead in the early voting (mail-ins).
I see the possibility of another Trump rally in Florida prior to Election Day.
October 31, 2018 in Ft. Myers Trump Rally for Desantis and Scott.
Thanks.
Usually, the Breaking News column is filled with links that are many hours or even days old.
Never occurred to me to look there.
I clicked on the “Debates” link in the FR header, but nothing there.
Gilliam doesn’t have much to run-on. A 5 year low in crime and a 20 year downward trend or something like that. Record number of murders. Somebody is lying and it doesn’t matter.
Very good news about the Early Voting, which I did not know.
Are you aware of the Ballot Initiative that will allow released felons to vote?
I’ve seen numbers as high as 1.5 million potential new voters if that passes.
My understanding is that requires a 60% vote, which will not be easy to get - I hope!
Nice!
It would be nice, both humanely and politically, if Trump visited the panhandle and took in the hurricane damage. Granted the panhandle is solid republican but such action would show the residents they haven’t been forgotten and at the same time give them hope and an incentive to vote and forget about their rebuild at least for a day.
Florida Constitutional Amendment 4
Voting Restoration Amendment
This amendment restores the voting rights of
Floridians with felony convictions after they
complete all terms of their sentence including
parole or probation. The amendment would
not apply to those convicted of murder or
sexual offenses, who would continue to be
permanently barred from voting unless the
Governor and Cabinet vote to restore their
voting rights on a case by case basis.
The precise effect of this amendment on
state and local government costs cannot be
determined, but the operation of current voter
registration laws, combined with an increased
number of felons registering to vote, will
produce higher overall costs relative to the
processes in place today. The impact, if any, on
state and local government revenues cannot
be determined. The fiscal impact of any future
legislation that implements a different process
cannot be reasonably determined.
Re: “The precise effect of this amendment on state and local government costs cannot be determined...”
Since most of them will vote Democrat, costs will be going up.
If they vote Republican, costs will also go up, but a little bit less.
I thought it Gollum.
Has the Puerto Rican post hurricane exodus impacted Florida Demographics?
He's been there, done that.

Of course, it wouldn't hurt to do it again. But, priorities ... There is only one of him, but so many needs!
True but Rs are out performing according to early mail in ballots.
...”White Florida voters are also problematic.
A substantial number are Jewish or migrated to Florida from New York and New Jersey, and they are heavily Democrat.”...
That is what happens when migrants flood your state and people move in from the leftists coastal areas to experience the good life. Problem is that their politics will ruin it sooner or later.
Jews will never get it. Ok. It’s now been said.
Of course I know its only the Fla SC sheesh. That is bad enough dont you think?
Florida already allows rehabilitated felons to vote. But, they are not eligible for a period of 5 years after release. If the felon has any legal problems during that time, they lose the right. Most felons in the State only make it about 3 years after release before they screw up again. But, if they do make it the full five years staying clean, they have to appear before the Governor and the legislature to make their case to be allowed to vote. Happens rarely.
But you are right, these stupid amendments need a super majority (60%) to pass.
Gillum is as corrupt as they come...
Florida has had almost 100% of statewide offices going on two decades. Nelson is the only statewide Dem in the past 10 years.
