President Donald Trump's critics have spent the past 17 months anticipating what some expect will be among the most thrilling events of their lives: special counsel Robert Muellers final report on Russian 2016 election interference.
They may be in for a disappointment.
Thats the word POLITICO got from defense lawyers working on the Russia probe and more than 15 former government officials with investigation experience spanning Watergate to the 2016 election case. The public, they say, shouldnt expect a comprehensive and presidency-wrecking account of Kremlin meddling and alleged obstruction of justice by Trump not to mention an explanation of the myriad subplots that have bedeviled lawmakers, journalists and amateur Mueller sleuths.
Perhaps most unsatisfying: Muellers findings may never even see the light of day.

You know how I know the Mueller has nothing?
Cause he is going to announce it AFTER the election
If he had the goods, it would have leaked by now or announced by now.
Keep the house the Senate and no Mueller crap for the next two years. That would be great for the country. The Dems would realize that resistance is not a platform and the country can really be brought together.
They dont want Trump to know their plans. Let him think everything is fine.
Furthermore, the appearance of it is what the scum care about. And anyone who would support such scum are in fact themselves scum.
If all the scum care about is the appearance of such, then lets accuse the Clinton crime family of murder-how many have died/murdered as a result of being in with the Clinton crime syndicate?
Theyll be scratching through that enormous pile of Muellers manure trying to find their pony.
Serves them right, but someone must go to jail for spying on the President, both before and after the 2016 election.
Pretty much all of our government, aside from a few Congressmen didn’t support this witch hunt. It never should have occurred.
So the hope of the left is that since it went on so long, some or even many voters will think that there was some misbehavior, and vote accordingly. Or they fear announcing "We got nothing" will trigger a red wave in retaliation for the needless and drawn out investigation.
*supported this witch hunt
Oh, forgot another possibility: they have something questionable but not proven, and are waiting to release it too close to the election for it to be countered or disproven.
It’d be great if Trump turned his next state of the union speech into a dissertation on the state of our corrupt media and the damage they’ve done to the republic.
Which is why now they are switching to Saudi Arabia.

I think Mueller has two reports written by now. One to submit if the Democrats take the House, and one for if they don't.

Yes.
CNN and the rest of the MSM will try to quickly move along hoping nobody notices too much. Hardcore Lefties though will have a giant meltdown. Theyre so emotionally invested in the narrative that Trump stole the election and is therefore not legitimate, that the FIB investigation showing everything the MSM spoon fed them for two years was a pile of horsecrap is going to break several of them.
It will be even better if the Republicans hold onto the House this November.
Of course Mueller has a case. Trump uses Twitter. The Russians used Twitter. How much more evidence of collusion do the dems need?
Anyone see Trump’s joke on this last night?
Uh huh. And this cost us how much?
How did this help to feed a hungry child?
