This is very good and it it says in a concise way some very pertinent things both about Kristol’s decline and the degraded nature of political argument today. As Carlson says people, who should know better, substitute virtue signaling and bumper sticker sentiments for thought all the while preening about their virtue. It is very serious in a representative democratic republic when people in the political class stop arguing and start shouting instead.
