2 things it says: 1) It's a crime to INTENTIONALLY provide incorrect information. That means it's ok for the Sgt. Schultz's on the left to make a mistake. 2) State law REQUIRES automatic registration unless they check off the box intentionally not wanting to be registered. Gives them something to work with even if it's Colin Kapernick. I tell you my friends we cannot get rid of Motor Voter but we could eliminate the word intentionally from the first line-make people more responsible. Two-get rid of the REQUIREMENT. It's a freedom issue.
BTW-it’s a Calif. law. Don’t know about the others.
I just got my renewal her in Ohio and they asked if I was registered to vote. I said I am here for a drivers license, not to vote.
Banks, credit card issuers, online vendors, retailers etc handle billions of transactions each day. Fraud is relatively rare but is still usually detected quickly and dealt with to all parties’ satisfaction, with costs borne by the various players.
Meanwhile, secretaries of states have 3-4 elections ie groups of transactions per year. They have lavish taxpayer funding and lots of downtime between ‘business days.’ Despite this light schedule and generous budget, these bumbling bureaucrats can’t get within 100 miles of eliminating/preventing fraudulent registrations, pruning dead or expatriate voters, or conducting a fair election and making an accurate count of the ballots.
These secretaries ar very good at telling us what wonderful people they are and how important their jobs are but never get round to explaining why the problems they are charged with solving stay the same or worsen.

Just got my real ID drivers license in Wisconsin. Had to provide notarized birth Certificate along with proof of my Social Security #
Voting should take a DL, a birth certificate, and a 1040 form with a positive number on the net taxes paid...
Here in NJ we have to produce all kinds of documents to get a drivers license - yet people want to give them to illegals (since they drive uninsured, flee accident scenes, etc.). Law enforcement has done a good job getting illegals away from the unregistered, uninsured heaps they were driving years ago; now the area looks like an Asian rush hour with braceros peddling on bikes to their untaxed cash jobs in restaurants, car washes, etc..
If they get licenses, I want a Mexican consular card. Then I can earn interest on a bank account without paying taxes on it, send money anywhere in the world without Homeland Security checking to see if I’m funding terrorists or washing drug money, etc. /s
