Russell Nelson, the 94-year-old who became president of the church in January,
I'm generally not a fan of the doctrines and history of the LDS church, but it's kind a cool that they let a guy have the top job at 94. Most anyone who's ever had a parent or grandparent in their 90s will tell you that it's a very tough age to be. The overwhelming majority of 90-somethings are physically and/or mentally incapable of handling control of a large, international organization.

I agree. A 94 year old has no business in that kind of position. As a figurehead, fine.

Yeah, well a woman at our church celebrated her 100th birthday this summer. She teaches a Sunday School class, and teaches a women’s Bible study twice a month. Plus, she’s always calling people who she knows are sick, and sends sympathy and get well cards to folks. So, I guess not everybody keels over when they reach 90. Just sayin...
