This was swept under the rug. There is some talk about that he was bunkered down in bed, but before that he spoke with Hillary, some on his staff for sure.
Bottom line, they made a political decision. Simply put:
We have an election here. We don’t want another, Jimmy Carter hostage crisis. These people are expendable, otherwise, Sir, you will lose the election.
They made the decision and went to bed. They didn’t figure that there were four brave souls out there, putting up a fight.
