Haha I just got to 4g. Used a 3G slider phone for 12 yrs. Last May just got my first smart phone.....
All current cell phones use a radio for connectivity. The only difference with 5G may be the frequency of the signals.
This 5G hysteria has to stop. This is pure mysticism.
I never go for the latest electronic hardware, software or newest gadget right away. Kinda like buy a car that’s in the 1st year of manufacture, theres always bugs.....restaurants can be like that too.....hiccup type bugs for restaurants, not the insect type....well, maybe that too. :)
Someday I may actually consistently carry my old flip phone ... but don’t count on it.
Frankly, I just do not care if anyone or the government needs to reach me.

People have NO idea what is already zipping through their bodies.
I work in IT and had a lady complain that the wireless access point above her desk was giving her headaches. Her symptoms went away when I “moved” it. All I did was stick it above the tile with no noticeable loss in power or coverage. It was just out of sight.
Mill Valley is a rich kook land full of NIMBYs. They want all cell towers, engergy generation, landfills, and other evil things to be put in “less important” places.
That it is particularly dangerous above and beyond the already-present radiation dangers with existing wireless technologies.
Don’t put your cell phone in your pocket next to your gonads, and if you use it a lot, use speaker so it’s not pressed up right against your head all the time, and you’ll be proof against any reasonable radiation threat.
We’re in the sticks. The nearest cell tower is at least a mile, if not more, away. When the leaves are off the trees we can see the red light at night.
We get our internet from it as well as all our phone calls and even watch high def movies from Amazon Prime. And it all comes from an extra LG G3 phone taped up in a window as a wi-fi hotspot.
Without that we’d be forced to go satellite, which sucks.
But I don’t expect 5g out here any time soon.
So the new cell towers are going to turn us into mind-controlled zombies.
Instead of worrying about that, which won’t happen, worry about Google deliberately changing searches to produce PC-compliant results.
I heard that 4G is really 3G with a twist. Seriously.
What is the power level difference between military application and cell phone use? Any studies on exposure level, persistent exposure, etc.? I’m not a naysayer vis-a-vis technology but I do sometimes wonder if there is anyone that looks at all of this, validates it. The article sure doesn’t say anything about that. Lazy reporter.
An old friend of mine had a great grandmother that used to be afraid to go into a house with electricity. She was afraid it was going to come out of the wall and electrocute her.
I just read an article saying that 5G will mean more advertising in more places. I think I’ll pass.
Satan needs a way to track those with his mark.
I, for one, welcome our new 5G overlords.
