In the 1950s, the three greatest centerfielders in baseball all played in the same city: Willie, Mickey, and the Duke, to quote Teerry Cashman. Is it any wonder Duke Snider was underappreciated?

And I am the product of a mixed marriage - Mom, Dodgers, Dad, Giants.

I will never forget my first game - Giants - Cubs, Cubs wore those gray road flannels, Whitey Lockman hit two home runs.

Duke Snider is the only player to hit four home runs (or more) in two different World Series (1952, 1955). Also one of two players (besides Gil Hodges) with over 1,000 RBI during the 1950s.
