Probably after a number of assassinations. Assassination was the cause of the Roman Republic losing power when Augustus seized power. It would likely be the cause of this USA. Perhaps several assassinations, I think.

Likewise the cause of the Finnish anti-Socialist movement of 1918 erupting into a full-scale military affair that killed of about 1% of Finland's population in four months. During the US Civil War, it took us the best part of four years to manage two percent.

I just assume that whatever is said by the MSM is the diametric opposite of the truth.

Yep.

When I hear people say “Ford’s claims are creidible” I just think of it as opposed to if she had said she was abducted by aliens who took her to a really cool resort inside the sun.

For me, “credible” simply means that it’s something that can happen and has happened to people, so the claim is “credible”. But it doesn’t mean I believe it one iota. :-)
