That would make this entire scenario nothing but Bread and Circuses - pushed by McConnell and the Deep State to Trump, Trump nominates, then the Deep State plays kabuki theater siphoning off funds from private parties to fill their coffers.
I don’t believe that though. But it still says something about how badly the DNC has gotten that they can’t orchestrate a proper counter strategy and let their leftist/socialist babies run policy. Worse that Flake et al fell right in line with them and capitulated to them.
As much as Collins is bloviating here, she’s making a rational and logical case for her decision - and I have to applaud that given the circus we’ve seen for the past month.
At least she is defending the rule of law, and the basic principle that a person is considered innocent until PROVEN guilty!
Once that is put aside, we are in a banana republic.
Collins is certainly a liberal, but she is also judicious, and offering an excellent argument for Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
For that, I thank her.
