Jett was performing the song in late 1980 or very early 1981. I heard her do it in Tallahassee Fl in a night club. She said they (the band) liked the song and it would probably be on an upcoming album. Besides, she didn’t write the song, wasn’t it released in the late ‘70s by another band?

Nope but she recently caught flak because she still stands up for Songwriter producer Kim probably, who has been accused by one of the runaways committing rape. Kim got along with several members of the band up to his very last year. Those women even above age 50 now could not be in the same room together but they could each meet with Kim without hassle but they didn’t like each other. But the Internet throws a fit anytime someone steps to his defense, and Joan Jett recently came to his defense again even posthumously in the me too era
