NOPE: “if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE, old things have passed away; behold, all thing have become new.” The alcoholic and drug addict I once was is now dead my friend, slain by the Christ — The Almighty God who alone can do that. No other god is acceptable, and to turn to any other god is to do more harm than good. That’s the lie of AA, any higher power is acceptable and you’ll have to remain an alcoholic all your life -— that’s a lie !!

Are you an alcoholic? I am. And I will be one til the day I die. The difference is I turned my will and my life over to a higher power I call God. I get a daily reprieve from alcohol, that's all. If I were to pick up a drink tomorrow, the same same insanity would still be there waiting for me. There is no physical cure for alcoholism only abstinence. We ARE NOT a religious program and AA does not endorse or oppose any cause, nor do we advocate any religious faith or religious faith. Our program has been successful since 1934. Ordinarily I'd be giving some one as thick and defiant as you are a piece of my mind but instead I'm grateful to you, sincerely . Because you remind me of how defiant and obstinate I was when I first came to the rooms of AA. How I thought all of these sober, happy and kind people were a bunch of fools and suckers. If you're an active alcoholic I would hope you find the sobriety I did. If you don't think AA is for you and you want to keep doing it your way, well, you're free to take your misery and hit the road.
