Well stated. As you allude to, if Ted Cruz or some other ‘flaming-right’ conservative had given the same speech, it would have been laughed off as your usual partisanship.

Graham, to much of our anger over the years, CANNOT simply be labeled as a ‘partisan’, with his rants being received as “oh, that’s just Lindsey”. Only a handful of Republicans, the RINOs, could have pulled that off. But, by definition, RINOs have at least as many issues with Republicans as they do with Democrats, and wouldn’t dare ‘act partisan’ against Democrats.

But Graham did what needed to be done, from one of the very few Republicans who could do it with credibility.

So if Kavanaugh makes it to the Supreme Court, and if the Republicans hold the Senate in 2018, and if Trump wins again in 2020 and can continue populating our judges, I HEREBY DECLARE that I will support and vote for Graham in the 2024 Presidential Primary, for my kids and grandkids will have a decent country to live in, FOR DECADES, due in huge part to his speech yesterday.

What a breath of fresh air. The worst example of Republicans bending over and taking it was the 1996 Vice Presidential debate. I paraphrase Al Gore: “I’m so glad that a decent man like Jack Kemp is running because he is unlike the fascist and sexist like the rest of the Republicans.” This is pretty close to a quote of what Kemp said “I thank my friend for his kind remarks...”

If McCain was still alive then Graham would have supported Ford and the democrats.

It is absolutely amazing just how great Lindsey Graham has become now that he is free from the pernicious influence of John McCain.

For the FIRST time I cheered Lindsey Graham! He has finally become the senator that South Carolina deserved all along. It makes me wonder if the dead RINO Juan McLame had some blackmail material he held over Lindsey's head.

From that point forward, the Democrat senators were obviously cowed and never laid a glove on Judge Kavanaugh. Their focus on asking the Judge about the meaning of passages in his high school yearbook and endless calls for a man who has already been through no fewer than 6 FBI background checks to call for yet another one made them look like the silly, disengenuous jackasses they truly are.

Good article, but the Dems are not "silly" or "disengenuous". They are lying, evil fiends in meat suits. And Graham was undoubtedly blackmailed and/or threatened by McStain. He was freed when McStain finally exited stage left.

Grahamnesty just came through again in this morning’s judiciary committee. Looks like he must have walked Flake across the bridge last night. I am threatening to forgive Lindsay for joint the McCain cult.

He stood up for all of us when we needed it most.

I will never say another negative thing about Lindsey Graham as long as I live. When we were in the foxhole, he fought.

Leave him a thank you note on his Senate website. It’s easy. He may not see it but his staff may report them to him.

Graham only asked a couple of questions of Judge Kavanaugh during his 5 minutes, spending the remainder of his time unleashing holy hell on his depraved Democrat “colleagues” and changing the tone of the entire afternoon.
