I grew up in DC a few years before these two. In those days I think they were happy if a kid was just drinking beer.

My recollection is that St. Albans, Georgetown Prep and Holton Arms were super preppy schools who rarely mixed with people outside their rarified circle.

I am not saying HS kids didn’t drink... with the legal drinking age of 18, of course they were.. I am saying were photos of KEGGERS in their yearbooks??? Like I said, since I was a few years later, when the legal age was 21... NO ONE Would be flaunting the fact they were drinking though many did... so the idea of a kegger photo in a yearbook would never ever happen...

I am just asking for those who came up a few years before me, would those sorts of photos wind up in the yearbook? Kids at a kegger drinking? Of the yearbooks and friends I have that are in that age group, I have never seen it, but its not that my sample size is that great either... so its an honest question.

Photos of kids partying with beer were typical, or atypical in yearbooks before the drinking age was raised?
