McDuffy was an insurance salesman that decided to flee from the cops on his KZ 900. After running a considerably amount of time and being unable to lose the cops, he decided to stop in a well lit intersection. Well the police were not happy he bolted and proceeded to beat him with their mag flashlights. I don’t think they wanted to kill him and I can confirm when you bolt the cops get really angry. Things were tense until the cops went to trial.
We got sent home at lunch that day and told we would be told when we could come back. I never got the call, they burnt Norton tire to the ground.
Cops were found not gulity.
Happened again in 1982...... Nevel Johnson
Missed a week of work, started carrying a pistol after that.
