You are right. I hate to be so hardcore about the matter - but maybe it’s time we started doing it again.
Back in the 50s when Dad was a NYPD cop and before Miranda and other BS Supreme Court rulings. He told me people don’t loot (hurricanes- blizzards etc) because looters get shot. It was true then. It would work now.
Also Stop Or I’ll Shoot was in force. Criminals running from their crime would often get to their knees with hands up when they heard those words
