John McCain was born in Coco Solo, Panama. Yet he was able to run for President. The definitions of eligibility are not always clear, maybe they are allowed to remain ambiguous for reasons unknown to me.
I believe that McCain’s father was a naval officer serving on station in Panama....therefore the soil of the US was under the boots/shoes of his parents no matter where they stood.. to say otherwise would be counter thousands of years of the understanding of NBC (a term coined by the Romans and it included children of legionnaires born to them while campaigning with their camp follower wives in foreign lands.)
Kamala Harris, from my experience as a Californian and our shared experience with Bronco Bama, is living proof of the wisdom of including NBC as an eligibility requirement for the Office of the President.....
Few had problems with McCain on this point as both parents were US Citizens and in the military.
The Canal Zone was considered US territory. That's why McCain's eligibility was never in question. Not to mention that both his parents were American citizens.
They said McCain was Born in the Panama Canal Zone, a US Territory at the time. He wasn’t.
The Senate made sure his Eligibility wasn’t an issue. Of course it had nothing to do with McCain but it had everything to do with Obama.
